When buying a crab at the supermarket or fish market you hope to find it full of nice crab meat, but this is not always a given. Therefore suppliers of high quality crabs want to make sure they always deliver a quality product. Odenberg has developed a solution that can tell how much crab meat there is under the shell, without touching it.
The crabs simply pass on a belt under the QVision 500 Analyzer and the system is able to look through the shell and calculate how much meat there is in the crab. For a quality supplier of crabs this enables grading of crabs full of meat and the rest can be used to make other crab products.
