Tray-Link®: Accellerated chilling or freezing system for multiple products.

The Odenberg Tray-Link® is the most advanced system for the simultaneous chilling or freezing of multiple unpacked food products undercontrolled conditions.

Fast freezing or chilling capability, simplicity of design and good engineering translates into low operating costs and high realiability. This unique patented chilling/freezing system provides complete production flexibility by making the infeed totally independent from the outfeed. The system acts as a buffer to a buffer to decouple continous process lines from intermittent packing operations. User friendly management control software provides product traceability and produces real-time data and other management information.



Unique features

Multi product chilling or freezing
The Tray-Link system automatically chills or freezes different products simultaneously, while keeping them seperated. Individual products can be drawn from any layer on demand once they have received their correct chilling or freezing time.

Uniform and controlled chilling or freezing
Uniform airflow distribution over and under the product, irrespective of the product loading, together with close temperature control ensures balanced chilling or freezing and minimal energy loss.

Multiple independent infeeds and outfeeds
Multiple infeed conveyors feed trays with different products into the Tray-Link system simultaneously. On the outfeed side, multiple conveyors automatically transfer trays with the required chilled/frozen products to the various packing stations on demand.

The link
This simple link is the key to the unique flexibility of the Tray-Link system. The Tray-Link trays can be automatically joined together on each layer allowing any tray to be pushed or pulled from either end of the layer. This gives true independence of infeed from outfeed and results in a very simple and hygenic construction.

Product accumulation and buffering
The Tray-Lik system's storage capacity can be utilised for production buffering and accululation. If the outfeed is stopped for any reason, the infeed continues to accept product. Alternatively, if production is stopped, packing can continue uninterupted.

Low maintenance and ease of cleaning
Due to the patented linking system there are no mechanisms or chains requiring grease within the product chilling/freezing area of the Tray-Link system. All trays can be moved to either half of the system allowing walk-in access for a full easy wash down. All stainless steel construction.

Production management
The Odenberg management control software eleminates the need for operators. It automatically operates and manages the Tray-Link system, including the infeed and discharge functions. It also ensures that product is discharged only if the selected parameters (time, temperature, QC constraints, etc) for that product have been satisfied. Real-time production data, inventory control and traceability (to HACCP standards) of all products in the system is also provided.

Graphic display
The graphic display shows the location, quantity, elapsed time and quality control status of each product in the system at all times. It is easy for the production personnel to use, allowing them to (or QC personnel) to call off products as required. The software can cater for up to 990 different products.
